What is Grad Night?
An annual drug and alcohol free graduation celebration for students graduating from the Davis Joint Unified School District. Grad Night was developed in response to a growing problem of alcohol-related car accidents and deaths involving recent high school graduates. Grad Night has become a way for the entire community to focus on a project conceived to save the lives of our graduating seniors by providing a fun, safe event. Davis Grad Night is sponsored, organized and operated by all-volunteer parents with the generous support of the community. Typically 90% of the graduating class attends the event.
Who is responsible for Grad Night?
Grad Night is accomplished through the energy, creativity, time and money of the parents with support from the community. It is a party that we, as parents, give as a parting gift to our graduating children.
Who Attends Grad Night?
Traditionally, 90 to 95 percent of the graduates attend this incredible, fun party held at Emerson Junior High School. Grad Night is a time for the class of 2014 to be together for one last time. Only Davis graduates can attend Grad Night – no friends from other schools or underclassmen. Grad Night begins after Davis High School graduation on Friday evening and continues until 5:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. GNI Attendance Policy

How Can I Get Involved?
We would love to see every parent of every graduating senior or anyone who has a high school student take part in creating this unforgettable Grad Night. A party of this magnitude doesn’t just happen … it’s pulled together by legions of volunteer parents, each of whom contribute in some way to make Grad Night a night to remember.
Your willingness to paint, sew, cut, and paste great decorations while renewing old friendships and having fun is all that is required. We also have numerous committees organizing activities, entertainment, decorations and food that you can join.
Please get involved. Together, we can make it an incredible finale to our children’s high school years (and have lots of fun in the process!) Click here to volunteer email@example.com.
I purchased my senior's Grad Night ticket, but I can't find a receipt. How do I confirm the ticket purchase?
How do I sign up to work at Grad Night?
Do grads have to stay all night long at Davis Grad Night?
Answer: No, graduates attending Davis Grad Night may leave at any time. Davis Grad Night is not a "lock-in" event. Once they leave, however, they may not return to the event. All graduates sign in upon arrival and sign out upon departing. A security parent will place a courtesy phone call to parents of any graduate who leaves before 3:30 a.m. They will be escorted to their car by a security parent and may not re-enter the event.
But I'm Not Creative!
It Can Be Very Rewarding
